MIDRIFF ISLANDS: FISH HEAVEN!The Midriff Islands are a group of isles about 300 down the Sea of Cortez that can only be reached by a 24 hr. mothership trip from San Felipe, Baja. The big boat carries six pangas that are launched and then towed throughout the trip while we travel from isle to isle. The great thing about these trips is that you travel at night aboard a boat with bathroom, sleeping quarters and a galley. Then you fish all day long from the pangas and return to the mothership at night. You can expect to catch grouper, black sea bass, cabrilla, snapper, yellowtail, dorado and huge squid. These trips are a load of fun and you can meet some interesting characters. |
