Biology101 - Natalia Hughson, Instructor
By John Williamson
What a Wonderful World
Life is such a precious thing and understanding how it works is essential to taking full advantage of it. The study of Biology is a necessary part of that process.
Taught with enthusiasm by Natalia Hughson M.D., this class delves down to the basic building blocks of our very existence. She emphasizes the importance of the structure of life as opposed to just animals grazing on the savannah. What in the world do these things mean:
What a Complex World
- Chromosomes- These little dynamos carry our genetic blueprint
- Amino Acids - The basic fluid of life that all else builds on
- Natural Selection - Only the strong survive
It is hard to comprehend how life really works, but the complexities of each and every living thing is a magnificent thing. Just the fact that so many organisms have existed on our planet is mind boggling. Hopefully those studying this course will take away the concept that we must protect this fragile world we all live in.
