Introduction to

My SQL

Database200 - Kiran Chittargi Instructor
By John Williamson

I have to admit it. When I came into this class, I was a little nervous about it. MySQL sounded as scary as C++ or Java. I'm not from a programming mind, so I had reason to worry. But this has not been as bad as I thought. It all makes sense and here's why.

There Really is No Other Choice

  1. Databases make sense. A disorganized world awaits us in any other scenario. We have to have data clearly set in a fashion that makes it easily accessible

  2. SQL language is a clear and sensible language that really is based on common sense. One isn't going to structure a language that doesn't make sense to everybody

  3. Databases save us time and money. That is the bottom line for any business

The Teacher Makes all the Difference

In our SQL class, we are luck to have a great teacher by the name of Kiran Chittargi. Kiran really knows his stuff and certainly makes things challenging. While I'm not quite ready to go out and conquer the database world, I sure have a better understanding of MySQL.
